F.-Martin Steifensand started after World War II one of the first ergonomic office - chair companies in West Germany. F.Martin Steifensand GmbH & Co. KG was recognized as one of the leading office chair companies in the field of ergonomic seating all over the world. The very first "disc office chairs" was distributed into more than 50 countries all over the world.
1989 Gernot-M.Steifensand with the age of 22 started in his parents' company and since that time his passion was to make office chairs better. In the early nineties F.Martin Steifensand - the father of
Gernot-M. Steifensand - sold the company to a Scandinavic Holding.
After the parents' company was sold, Gernot-M. Steifensand studied in America at the U.C. Berkley and became a Master in Mass Customization.
Back in 1995, after he returned back from University, he started researching with a lot of Doctors and Professors in different ergonomic fields to find out what are the real reasons why men and women sit differently.
A manufacturing company under the law of mass customization was founded in 1997. This company began to manufacture ergonomic computer chairs for women in the size small,medium,large and x-large.
State-of-the-art design and ergonomic products for the professional woman and man are being introduced year after year.

GERNOT-M. STEIFENSAND is known all over the world as the inventor of the very first office chair for women ( LADYSITWELL ) which was introduced at ORGATEC trade fair in Colon the year 2000.
After some years of scientific survey GERNOT-M. STEIFENSAND has introduced the very first mass customized ergonomic office chair for the professional man in the size, small, medium, large, x-large and xx-large ( MISTERSITWELL ) who has a lot of benefits to the ordinary office budget chair.
In the year 2006 GERNOT-M. STEIFENSAND introduced LADYSITWELL and MISTERSITWELL to the Arabic World in Dubai and at NeoCon trade fair in Chicago to the American market.
