Women do really sit differently
Women differ from men in size, height, and weight; the ‘Lady Sitwell’ is available in different sizes, so a woman six feet tall can sit as comfortably as one five feet tall.

We are a sedentary society; in the workplace, we spend most of our day seated.

Most office workers, men and women, use the same ordinary chairs that do not take into account the anatomical differences between men and women, nor compensate for the constant stress to the body from being seated much of the workday.

It is no wonder that more than 75% of all workers suffer from backache. Back problems are the number one cause of lost work hours due to illness.

After many years of scientific research with our doctors, we know today that there are many anatomic reasons why a woman needs a chair designed especially for women:

Women adopt a different postural than men, specifically when examining spine and pelvis postures, when performing seated office work. Women also position their bodies in a different location relative to the pivot point when sitting on a chair.

  1. Females sit with a more anteriorly rotated pelvis, less lumbar flexion, and very little trunk flexion.

  2. Females sit with their upper body CoM (center of mass) closer to the seat pan center or pressure (CoP) than males.

  3. Women differ in the lumbar, trunk and pelvis angles.

  4. Women differ in the center of mass of the head, arms and trunk and the base of the chair.

  5. Women differ in the location of the hip join to the base of the chair.

  6. Women differ in the location of the peak pressure (ischial tuberosities).

  7. Females sit in gerneral with more anterior rotation of the pelvis, less lumbar flexion and very little trunk flexion.

LADY SITWELL is specially designed to accomodate the female anatomy.

LADY SITWELL is a system for dynamic sitting which constantly keep the muscles and the spinal column in a slight micro-motion. Our patented system increases reduces stress, increases blood circulation and oxygen supply, and stimulate circulatory and lymph system.
